Flight Time

Layovers are the worst, especially when you’re still in the US. It’s less fun to attempt to eavesdrop on people’s conversations when there isn’t the added thrill of translation. I’m writing during hour four of a six hour layover in Philadelphia International (who knew?!) and it feels like a mall with more comfortable seating. Granted, I don’t think that I could ever spend four hours in a mall, but it does give me a last taste of US culture- I ate lunch at Chik-fil-a, browsed at the Gap, and sat in a massage chair at Brookstone to save my shoulders. I swear that my backpack weighs 200 pounds. Philly is not the worst airport to spend time in, but layovers give me too much time to remember all of the things that I likely forgot to do. Oh well, too late now. Luckily my layover in Zurich is only about an hour, which means less time to think and more time to pass out in my (hopefully window) seat.

  1. I love the Philly airport! I had a two hour layover there like two weeks ago and got my eyebrows waxed
