Ayany Part 1

Ayany is where I lived in Nairobi. It's just within the Kibera line (the railroad tracks that divide the Kibera Estate [land granted to the Nubians for their service to the British as mercenaries] from the rest of Nairobi.) My Mamma walked around with me on my last day full day in Nairobi to take these pictures, a lot of them are shot from the hip because it was a little awkward.

The path down to the railroad tracks is a narrow track between shacks. This was the way to school everyday.
